We’ve seen them all before. Wedding photos of couples on the beach. In a grassy meadow. Maybe with snowy mountains in the background as they say, “I do.” As a Colorado wedding photographer, I’ve shot couples in beautiful outdoor locations. But what if you and your sweetheart are looking for a special kind of wedding photoshoot? You want your wedding photos to stand out. So, where do you go?
The best Fort Collins, Colorado wedding photoshoot location is none other than the Gregory Allicar Museum of Art. I know what you’re thinking, “…an art museum? Why?” Because it’s unique and instantly sets your Colorado wedding photos apart from the rest.
If you’re looking for things to do in Fort Collins, this museum should be at the top of your list. It’s only an hour north of Denver, making it convenient to get to. Located on the Colorado State University campus, the Gregory Allicar Museum of Art is that breath of fresh air you’ve been searching for…just indoors. With over 5,000 works of art and 10,000 square feet of galleries, you are sure to find the perfect space to capture your Fort Collins wedding day photos.
The Gregory Allicar Museum of Art can be found in the University Center for the Arts. Visitors get a taste of a variety of exhibits, several of which rotate in and out throughout the year. The museum also features three permanent exhibitions all year-round, including the Hartford-Tandstad Galleries, the Americas Gallery, and the African Gallery.
The museum offers free admission to the public, which is great! It’s also open Tuesdays through Saturdays, allowing its closed days for students. Although anyone is welcome to visit the museum, if you would like to have your wedding photos taken here, you will need to make arrangements to reserve the museum. As a Fort Collins wedding photographer, I’ve had the pleasure of photographing couples at the museum before. With a working relationship with the museum and its staff, I’m sure we can collaborate to schedule the perfect day and time to take your wedding photos!
My inspiration for seeking out the Gregory Allicar Museum of Art was simple: the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The Met Gala, an annual charity event, has become a pop culture highlight of the year. It features A-list celebrities in out-of-this-world fashion. It’s glamorous, elegant, and chic. And here in Fort Collins, we have our own little corner of glamor, elegance, and chic.
I was lucky enough to photograph a beautiful couple right here at the Gregory Allicar Museum of Art. The bride, wearing a dreamy Baylee wedding gown, designed by AW Bridal. You can see one of my photographs featured on their website, taken right here in Fort Collins! Without a doubt, you can find stunning venues and locations without ever leaving home.
For many couples, their wedding photos are the highlight of the event. They want beautiful, romantic photographs to show their family and friends for years to come. Choosing the Gregory Allicar Museum of Art as your wedding photoshoot location, you’ll get just that: beauty and romance.
If you’re ready to think outside the box with elegant and chic wedding photos, then let’s get you and your sweetheart to the Gregory Allicar Museum of Art! I’d love to help capture your wedding day in Fort Collins! Let’s make it a day you’ll never forget!
